Changing the

Printhead

When you change the printhead, you also need to replace the wiper blade

assembly. Follow the instructions for both procedures.

How To Change the Printhead

1. Press the Menu key.

2. Select Maintenance.

3. Select Replace Printhead.

4. Lift the main cover.

5. Slide printhead latch to the left and pull forward as seen in

(1) in picture below.

6. Hold the latch in place and pull front panel forward as seen in (2) in

the picture above.

7. Lift printhead cover toward the rear.

8. Holding printhead handle, lift printhead straight up so that back of

the printhead does not rub against the pins (connectors) in the

rear of the casing.

IMPORTANT! Make sure you have a replacement printhead before you

begin this procedure. You cannot cancel this process once you begin.
